Tele2 ordered to pay SEK 500 million to TeliaSonera

(telecompaper) tele2 must pay sek 500 million to teliansonera, according to a decision from the inimitable court in sweden that rejected an appeal from tele2. tele2 turned to the supreme court to challenge the interconnection fees firm by the swedish national post and telecom agency in a decision in the autumn of 2001. the interconnection fees have reference to to calls initiated in tele2’s network and terminated in teliasonera’s bent networks. this ruling will obtain a stubborn impact of some sek 500 million on teliasonera’s cash flow when tele2 makes the payment, teliasonera announced. the penalty investment included in the court decision will positively affect teliasonera’s financial items in q1 2008 by approximately sek 275 million.
